The leaders travelled to defending champions Breidden's Middletown pub base and some superb shooting saw the visitors emerge with a 182-179 victory.

Possibles of 36 from Rich Morgan and 37 from Richard Lewis were out-shot by Mike Lewis and Martin Pearce who both scored a 38 (possible) each, narrowly falling short of a 38.5 maximum score.

Consistent scores from the remainder of the visitors' squad ensured victory and that they remained top of the pile with six points from their 100 per cent record this term.

Second faced third as Harlescott B hosted Telepost and the home outfit made it three from three to leapfrog Telepost and sit just behind leaders Unison with a lesser team average score.

Harlescott's B posted a strong opening score of 177.5, and Telepost just fell short in returning with 174.

Rian Pacini (36) and Bob Griffiths (35.5) led the way with possibles for the hosts in what proved a tight encounter until the final few shots.

More consistent shooting from Marino Pacini (36.0) and Ricki Pacini (35.5) helped Harlescott leapfrog their visitors and keep the pressure on the early leaders.

Excellent scoring from Marchamley secured their first win of the campaign at The Cock Inn, Hanwood – home of The Cock outfit.

Cheryl Ankers was on top form for the successful visitors, scoring her first possible of the season with a total of 35.5 points. She was joined by Emma Spenser, who showed her potential with a 24.5 score.

Home marksman Will Chilton shone with a 34.5, along with team-mate Graham Howells who shot the same score. But the hosts were unable to find the required consistency and fell to a 172.5-167 defeat.

Hosts Condover, playing at the Condover Club this season, secured their first victory of the season against Harlescott A – who are still without a win in three outings.

Ian Small and Neal Alderson top scored for the home side were 35.0s while no home shooter scored fewer than 33.5.

Harlescott's Barbara Price was unfortunate to find herself on the losing team, matching the top score of 35.0. Ian Craik's 34.0 and Sheila Haden's 33.0 were not enough for Harlescott as Condover claimed the two points with a final score of 171-165.5.
