Dave Hibbert on way back to give Bucks huge boost
Striker Dave Hibbert could be back in action within days to boost AFC Telford United's misfiring attack.
The Bucks could certainly do with a boost up front after they failed to score for the eighth time in 12 league and cup matches in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at AFC Fylde.
Telford were unable to find the net at Kellamergh Park despite their opponents playing more than 70 minutes with 10 men following the dismissal of midfielder Sam Finley for a push on Sean Clancy.
Hibbert has been sidelined with a knee injury in recent weeks, but could be in contention in time for this weekend's trip to Boston United.
Manager Rob Smith said: "Hopefully he will be available for this weekend which would be good.
"Hibbert is probably ahead of schedule. I'd say he was 50/50 for Saturday but it is looking good at the moment.
"On his day he is one of the best strikers in this league. He gives us that physical presence when you put crosses in.
"On Saturday we put loads of crosses in and didn't get on the end of any of them."
Smith could also have midfielder Jack Rea back in contention, the player having sufficiently recovered from a broken hand.
Smith said: "Jack is having his cast off on Thursday and he will be available."
