Wolves loanee blasted by AFC Telford boss
AFC Telford United loan striker Bradley Reid has been urged to learn his lesson by Wolves boss Kenny Jackett after being told his "head is on the beach."
The 19-year-old, who is on loan at relegated Conference club AFC Telford, has been accused of playing poorly by manager Steve Kittrick.
Reid was dropped for Saturday's 2-1 win against Altrincham, but came on as a substitute. Kittrick said: "He's the only lad I've got that's got his head on the beach."
The player, who could eventually cost Wolves £200,000 from Wrexham after joining in February 2014, has scored once in eight games for the Bucks.
And Wolves head coach Jackett told Reid to take heed of the criticism, saying: "My opinion on that is that's why we send players out on loan.
"It's up to the player to learn from this situation, whether he feels the manager is right or not.
"If the manager hasn't been happy with him, that's part of football life and part of growing up.
"And if there's a degree of truth in it, he has to bounce back. He has to handle that situation and be determined to prove that manager wrong, which I'm sure he would be very happy to do."
Jackett added: "Particularly early on, Bradley had some very good games for them, against some good sides.
"We've felt he's been very up and down since he's been with us but, on his game, he's a real handful."
Kittrick added: "Bradley has been poor. He's taken his foot off the gas and I told him before the game that's the reason I left him out.
"I've said: 'You have got to go on when you get your opportunity, work hard, get your head where it should be.'
"He's a good player, but he's got to learn about non-league football."
