Recalled AFC Telford United full-back Sean Newton believes the unity of the new-look Bucks squad will ensure Blue Square Bet Premier league survival.
Newton, back in the side having been dropped at the turn of the year, insists Andy Sinton's new signings have firmly bedded into the squad.
The Bucks added a trio of new faces in January, coupled with a host of new players over the summer, and Newton believes a settled squad, Telford have been unchanged in their last two matches, has led to an improvement on the pitch.
"We're getting to know the new boys now and we're all fighting for each other," he said.
"I've found myself as one of the most experienced in terms of Telford players. It's mad how football works out like that. There's probably myself, Ryan Young and Shane Killock who have been here a while now.
"We know the club and we know what got us promoted last season. There was a lot of character in the side last year, not many sides would have come back from conceding two goals in the second half of a play-off final.
"It works both ways, we're able to pass on experience about being at Telford and they are able to pass experience on to us.
"For me personally I have never been in a side that has struggled at the wrong end of the table before and some of the other lads have."
And Newton is hoping to continue Telford's impressive run, and keep his place in the side, at Alfreton on Saturday.
"We know Alfreton pretty well," he added. "We played them twice last season and got a draw up there and we could have won it.
"We know what they're about and it is important that we don't lose.
"It's not nice when you're out of the starting XI and especially when you're out of the squad altogether. But that happens and I think I have trained hard obviously have got my place back."
