AFC Telford United's five-game unbeaten run came to an end as they slipped to defeat at a rain-soaked Holker Street.

The Bucks fell behind when Adam Boyes converted a penalty on 20 minutes, left-back Sean Newton having controversially been adjudged to have handled a cross from Paul Smith.

Telford's best effort of the first period came from loanee Conal Platt, whose chipped shot from the right was only marginally too high.

The visitors raised their game in the second period and deservedly got back on level terms when Craig Farrell - in his first start of the season - fired in from close range.

Telford appeared set to go on and win the contest at that stage but it was Barrow who found the winner just seven minutes from time - substitute Richie Baker heading in off Jack Mackreth's cross.
