AFC Telford United's international striker James Lawrie has had his loan spell at Altrincham extended for a second month – and defender Robbie Williams could follow suit.
Northern Irish forward Lawrie, who has two senior caps, has scored two goals for the Blue Square Bet North club in five starts and Telford chief Andy Sinton is keen to see him maintain his form.
Centre-back Williams has also impressed at Moss Lane but – with Shane Killock, Dan Preston and Stuart Whitehead all further up the Bucks' pecking order – he too could be allowed to stay on for a second month.
"James, I believe, is a good footballer," said Sinton.
"He couldn't train for two or three weeks of pre-season due to a gum infection and missed four or five games so he's been playing catch-up ever since.
"But I know what he can do and I want him to make the most of his time at Altrincham so that he gets into a position where he can force himself into our side."
On Williams, he added: "I might look to extend his loan at Altrincham but, like with James, put in an immediate call-back so that we can get him if needed.
"I don't want to send people out for games and then have them come back and sit in the stands for three months because that is counter-productive."
Meanwhile, Sinton reported a near clean bill of health at training last night – with striker Andy Brown the only player sidelined.
Defenders Shane Killock and Ryan Valentine both picked up knocks during Saturday's 1-1 home draw with Hayes & Yeading but showed no signs of problems.
Brown, though, is still struggling with a hamstring injury and is rated a major doubt for this weekend's long trip to Barrow.
