Goals either side of the interval from Scott Quigley and Aeron Edwards put the Saints on course for a comfortable passage at the San Marino Stadium, before a late strike from substitute Greg Draper completed a 3-0 win on the night, and a convincing 5-1 success on aggregate.

The Welsh Premier champions had enough chances to have made the margin more emphatic, with Tre Penne keeper Mattia Megani making several good saves as the game became increasingly stretched.

But the Oswestry side would be happy with their efforts that set up a second qualifying round tie with highly-ranked Cyprus champions APOEL Nicosia next week.

Holding a 2-1 advantage from the first leg, TNS maintained their dominance in the return meeting as they wasted little time in taking the game to their Summariness hosts.

Craig Harrison's treble winners continued to enjoy the bulk of possession, with the two goalscorers from the first leg combining early on as Jamie Mullan's cross just eluded Quigley.

More pressure saw Ryan Brobbel's free kick punched out by keeper Megani and, when the Sammarinese did mount a rare attack, they were met by some solid defending

The Saints continued to look the more incisive, with Adrian Cieslewicz firing over from a tight angle, while another Mullan cross was cleared after the winger had cut in from the flank.

Moments later, Aaron Edwards put an effort over the bar from the edge of the box and Chris Marriott's free kick was blocked by the wall.

TNS finally got the ball in the net just before half time through Quigley, but his close range effort was ruled out by the Albanian official Lorenc Jemini,

However, Quigley was not to be denied right on half time when the goal that thad hreatened finally arrived as the forward smashed home to give the Saints a 3-1 aggregate advantage.

Victory was effectively sealed when Edwards doubled the lead two minutes after the break when bundling the ball into the net following a Marriott free kick.

With Tre Penne pushing forward in a bid to salvage the game, the action became more stretched with Saints keeper Paul Harrison pulling off a fine stop to tip over, while at the other end Quigley had a shot well saved by Migani.

Sub Draper came on for the last 10 minutes, and marked his appearance when notching a third goal in the closing moments following an assist from Jon Routledge.

Next up will be a sterner challenge against APOEL Nicosia, with the Cypriots being with the country's most successful club with an overall tally of 25 championships, 21 cups and 13 super cups. They have reached the quarter- finals of the Champions League in the past.
