Shock as The New Saints issued with winding-up order
Officials at The New Saints Football Club, based in Oswestry, spoke of their shock tonight at news they had been issued with a winding-up order.
The club appears on a winding-up list due to be heard at the High Court in London on Monday.
But TNS owner Mike Harris said tonight he knew nothing about the order and the club had not been contacted by anyone.
It comes as the New Saints take on Denbigh Town in the Word Cup Final in Llandudno tomorrow.
The New Saints of Oswestry Town tonight released the following statement: "The club were informed of the news by the local media earlier this evening regarding a winding up order.
"Nobody at the club has been made aware of this and are shocked by such news.
"TNS FC club officials are also unsure of who may have served the petition.
"A further statement will be released once more information is forthcoming."
