Master Tony Sewell, a seventh degree black belt, visited Bridgnorth Tae Kwon-Do's St Leonard's School base in Innage Lane to assess the students' technical skills.

And Sewell, who is the chairman of governing body Global Taekwondo International, was left suitably impressed by the displays produced.

Proud club instructors Gary Plant and Anna Bradford praised the students for continuing their high standards of training over the summer holidays as well as displaying excellent effort, skill and power at the examination.

The students involved ranged in age from seven to 58 and train at St Leonard's School twice a week.

Bradford said: "We put 10 students forward for gradings this time around, so we had a 100 per cent pass rate which is really pleasing."

Lisa Grant went from white belt to yellow stripe while Sam Jones moved from yellow belt to green stripe and green stripe John Payton achieved green belt at the gradings.

Tammy Lewis moved from yellow stripe to yellow belt, David Rowley from yellow to green stripe and Charlie Morris from white to yellow stripe.

Oliver Hilton achieved his yellow belt, moving from yellow stripe, Kiera Grant advanced from white to yellow stripe, green stripe Harry Lewis achieved green belt and Charlie Phillips moved from yellow belt to green stripe.

Gradings take place four times a year and new members are always welcome.
