Dan Tolley scored the only goal just before half-time as the Shrewsbury side got the result they needed to clinch second place.

Haughmond couldn't add to their score but held firm to seal promotion with three games to spare.

Joint-boss Steve Rogers, who played up front in the game, said: "We are just relieved to get the job done, although we were always confident we would.

"We can finally start looking forward to next season now, knowing that promotion is in the bag.

"But the lads were quiet in the dressing room after the game.

"I am proud of them, we have had a good season and achieved what we set out to do.

"It was a goal of the season contender from Dan too, what a way to win it!"

In Division Two, title-chasing AFC Ludlow closed the gap on league leaders Team Dudley to a point with a 2-0 victory at Warstones Wanderers.

Manager's son Keanu Cooper tapped in a flick-on from Dale Hodge to poen the scoring.

And Hodge was there to later finish at close-range after Rob Boyd's volley flashed across goal.
