Shrewsbury Town's teenage talent Tom Bradshaw has earned his first international recognition.
Bradshaw has been named in the Wales under-19 squad for the away friendly in Liechtenstein next month.
The 18-year-old burst onto the scene in spectacular fashion as he struck two goals on his debut as a 14-minute substitute at Crewe in April.
The former Aberystwyth forward was given a professional contract by Shrewsbury in the summer.
"It's always important for players to get that experience," said manager Graham Turner of Bradshaw's international call-up.
"Tom's got a lot of ability and a lot of potential. We are delighted for him and we hope he goes and does extremely well.
"The experience will stand him in good stead for the future."
Meanwhile, on-loan defender Mat Sadler has urged Shrewsbury not to got carried away with their fine start to the campaign.
Saturday's impressive 4-0 triumph at Paul Simpson's Stockport took Town's tally to 10 points from four games and up to second in the table.
But Sadler has urged his team-mates to keep their feet on the ground.
"This is a 46 game season and we have only played four," he said.
"We have got 10 points on the board which is great - but it's only a start so let's keep calm. Saturday was a fantastic win and I thought we passed it really well."
Thriving
Sadler revealed he is thriving on his loan spell from Championship side Watford.
"Shrewsbury is a fantastic club and it's really professionally run," added the 25-year-old. "The gates are as high as anything in the League and it was a no-brainer to come here.
"It's a big club with aspirations of being a League above and further on.
"The Board and the chairman (Roland Wycherley) have backed the manager and he is here to get promoted so hopefully success will come."
Full back Dean Holden has seen his loan at Rotherham extended for a second month.
But Holden will not be able to play in Saturday's home League meeting between the two sides.
