The Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service incident log shows that four fire crews from Much Wenlock, Telford and Wellington were scrambled to attend the accident on the B4380 at Buildwas just after 3pm today.

Crews used small gear to make the vehicles safe for recovery.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 3pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving two cars at the junction of Buildwas Bank and the B4380 in Buildwas, Telford.

"Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Tatenhill attended the scene. On arrival we found two women who were the drivers of the two vehicles.

"Both had sustained injuries not believed to be life threatening and were conveyed to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for further assessment.”
