Police swooped on a black pick-up van pulling a white caravan at the Ketley Brook Roundabout this morning.

Officers were at the scene at the junction of Holyhead Road and Whitchurch Drive throughout rush hour.

Congestion built up from shortly after 7am, causing delays of up to 15 minutes near Wrekin Retail Park.

One lane was closed off by police as the vehicles were removed by a recovery truck.

A West Mercia Police spokesman said: "At 7am this morning police were at Ketley Brook Roundabout after a vehicle with a caravan broke down.

"It is suspected the caravan was being stolen and one person has been arrested.

"The road was closed for a short time to allow for the vehicles to be recovered. It is now fully open."
