Fire crews called to hatchback car fire on A5

Fire crews were called to deal with a car on fire on the A5.

Two fire crews were sent to the scene.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said it had sent two crews to the Nesscliffe Bypass shortly before midnight.

The teams, from Baschurch and Shrewsbury, used a variety of equipment to tackle the incident, which involved a "hatchback car fully involved in fire".

The blaze was dealt with in about an hour, with West Mercia Police also in attendance.
