Volunteers at the museum, in the Guildhall, say there will be several new exhibitions and a Covid-safe environment for its visitors.

The museum was given a Covid Recovery Grant to help ensure that it could re-open with safeguards in place against the Coronavirus.

Mark Hignett from the museum said the volunteers had also been working with Oswestry Town Council and Shropshire Council.

He said the museum on the Bailey Head would reopen on June 2 between 10am and 3pm and again on June 4.

After that there will be Wednesday and Friday openings throughout June until the first Saturday opening on June 26 from 10am until 4pm.

"We are looking forward to reopened once again to the public," Mr Hignett said.
