Police appeal over missing man, 71

Police are appealing for information about a 71-year-old man missing from a Mid Wales town who may be trying to hitch a lift out of the area.

Colin Graham Stevens, was last seen at about about 10.15pm on Tuesday in Llandrindod Wells.

Dyfed-Powys Police said there had been possible sightings of him trying to hitchhike on the A484 between Llanddewi and Newtown yesterday morning,

Mr Stevens has connections with Yorkshire/Humberside and police think that if he has hitched a lift, could be heading there.

He is described as having a full head of light grey hair, which is thinning; he has a glass eye, is approx. 5ft 11ins tall, of thin build, and was wearing a dark blue coat, black trousers, black shoes, and may be carrying a small holdall bag.

Mr Stevens suffers with short-term memory problems, and had very little money with him.

Anyone who has seen Mr Stevens, or has any information about his whereabouts is asked to contact police as a matter of urgency by calling 101.
