Man wearing balaclava exposes himself to teenage girl in Shrewsbury

A man wearing a balaclava indecently exposed himself to a 16-year-old girl in Shrewsbury.

West Mercia Police say the man had approached the girl on a bicycle near Underdale Avenue in Shrewsbury when he exposed himself.

The incident is said to have taken place at around 5.20pm on December 2.

Police said the man, who was wearing a black balaclava, a dark baggy top, and light coloured trousers, rode off towards Abbey Foregate following the incident.

Paul Roberts of West Mercia Police said they want to hear from anyone who might have information about the crime.

He said: "The incident happened on Underdale Road around 5.20pm on Friday, December 2, when the victim was approached by a man riding a bicycle while walking towards Underdale Avenue.

"He is reported to have stopped near the girl and exposed himself, before riding off towards Abbey Foregate.

"The man is described as wearing a tight, black balaclava with a dark baggy top and light coloured trousers.

"If you saw the incident or have any information that could help investigations, please contact police on 101 and quote incident number 626s of December 2."
