House fires in Telford led to people being cared for by emergency crews

Two house fires have been tackled in Telford.

Firefighters were called to Norfield View at around 9.46pm last night.

Flames damaged curtains, a lamp and some household goods in the blaze.

Two crews attended the fire which they reported was out by the time they arrived.

Firefighters provided oxygen and first aid to people at the house, with the British Red Cross Fire and Emergency Support Service and West Mercia Police also attending.

Meanwhile a second blaze took place in the early hours of this morning in Leegomery.

Two fire crews were sent to a home on Hurleybrook Way at around 1am.

They used hoses and a thermal imaging camera to tackle the blaze, which had been on the first floor landing.

West Midlands Ambulance Service also attended the home and the fire crews had extinguished the blaze by 1.25am.
