Firefighters rescue horse from wire in Bridgnorth

A horse had its leg freed by firefighters after getting stuck in a wire fence.

Crews from Bridgnorth and Wellington were sent to a field in Hartlebury in Bridgnorth at 7am, after the owner had seen the horse in distress.

Ian George, crew manager at Bridgnorth Fire Station , said: "The horse had fallen and got its leg stuck in wire fencing.

"It was on the ground when we arrived so we used cutting equipment to free the leg. It all took about 20 minutes."
