Woman sexually assaulted in Market Drayton

Police are appealing for information after the woman reported she was attacked close to Longford Turning at around 9.30pm on Tuesday.

Detective Sergeant Alexander Sullivan said: "We appreciate that this incident is very concerning for people who live and work in the area.

"The investigation is in its early stages and I'd like to reassure people that we will be thoroughly investigating this incident and looking to find the person responsible.

"We would like to speak to anyone who saw someone acting suspiciously in the area last night or who has any information that could help us with our enquiries."
