The robbery happened at an outreach post office in the village hall on March 15 where 61-year-old Stephen Bentley was threatened by offenders who then stole his car containing cash and cigarettes.

Mr Bentley has run the outreach service since the village's full time service closed and now he is thinking of quitting his role.

Offenders wearing boiler suits and wielding an axe tied him up and stole about £2,000 in cash and his Jaguar.

A 44-year-old man from Telford was arrested yesterday and has since been released on police bail until April 26.
