Arrest after cannabis plants are found in Telford bedroom

A number of cannabis plants were seized from a property after officers arrested a man on suspicion of supplying drugs in the street then searched his home.

The male, aged in his 40s, was spotted by police on patrol, in Burford, Brookside, in Telford.

A search of his address uncovered a bedroom containing an undisclosed amount of plants that were being cultivated.

Pc Gareth Bee, of Brookside Safer Neighbourhood Team, said the man had been bailed while investigations continued.

The unnamed man was also arrested on suspicion of cultivating the plants.

Earlier this month more than 200 cannabis plants were seized in a raid on a property in Shrewsbury.
