Jamie Edwards pleaded guilty to two charges when he appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court.

The 40-year-old, of Whitehouse Gardens, pleaded guilty at court to charges of possessing cocaine and heroin with intent to supply on November 5 this year.

The prosecution offered no evidence for a third charge of dangerous driving against Edwards, and Judge Peter Barrie returned a formal not guilty verdict.

He had been accused of driving a Toyota Argo dangerously on the A49 near Prees, also on November 5.

The judge adjourned the case for the probation service to prepare a pre-sentence report.

Edwards was bailed to appear back at court at some point in the week beginning January 16, when he will be sentenced.
