Police seized the Fiat motor home along with two other vehicles with fake plates, found at the Long Lane caravan site in a sting on Tuesday.

A car believed to have been seen following the motor home after it was stolen was also seized, said Sgt Adrian Woolley, of West Mercia Police's South Shropshire Safer Neighbourhood Team.

He said a 40-year-old man has been arrested and released on police bail on suspicion of stealing the motor home.

Sgt Woolley said: "The theft was on June 9, it was stolen from a garage in the Burslem area of Stoke-on-Trent, where it was in for some work to be done."

He said the keys were believed to have been stolen during the day while garage staff were distracted, then the motor home taken at about 5am.

He added a court hearing is due to take place on Monday.
