Two men thought to hold key information over Telford rape

Two men could hold key information for an investigation into the rape of a woman, according to police.

West Mercia Police is trying to trace the men for help with an investigation into the rape, which is alleged to have taken place at a private address in the Leegomery area of Telford.

The offence, which was reported to police on Wednesday, is thought to have taken place on the evening of the May 8.

Detective Inspector Robert Mountford, who is leading the investigation, said: "We are looking to trace two men who were seen in the area at the time of the incident as we believe they may hold key information which could assist us with our enquiries.

"The two men were seen in the vicinity of Leegomery Pool off Leegate Avenue and then around the Spar Shop at Leegomery Centre late on Sunday afternoon or early Sunday evening.

"If you were in the area at this time please make yourself known to police."

One of the men has been described as white, approximately 5ft 10 tall, of a stocky build with short dark hair and freckles.

He is thought to speak with a Polish accent and has a tattoo on his left forearm of what has been described as lines in a dark blue colour.

He is also thought to have a 'tear drop' tattoo on his left little finger.

The second man is also thought to speak with a Polish accent and is approximately 5ft 10 tall and of slim build.

He is thought to be in his 30s, has short hair with a mole on the left hand side of his face, and a stud earring in his right ear.

Police said he is thought to have been wearing a gold bracelet, a dark blue baseball cap, jogging bottoms with white trainers and a black hooded jumper with a green and cream emblem on the chest.
