After the tragic death of former Aston Villa striker Dalian Atkinson, we look back at the striker's career in the West Midlands.

Atkinson was a huge fan favourite at the club during his four-year spell after completing a £1.6m move from Fenerbahce in July 1991 .

He scored 38 goals in 106 appearances and will be best remembered for a stunning solo goal against Wimbledon in the Premier League's first ever season back in 1992.

Atkinson won the BBC Match of the Day goal of the season for the strike as Villa finished the season runners up to Blackburn Rovers.

He formed a deadly striking partnership with Dean Sunders and were fondly nicknames the D-Men (Deadly Duo).

The striker went on to feature for Fenerbahce and Manchester City before winding down his career in Saudi Arabia and South Korea.

But it's with the Villa, where he will always be remembered as one the true greats ever to wear the shirt.
