Deaf man mocked by gang at Telford bus station

A deaf man was mocked and mimicked by a gang of men at Telford bus station.

The young men copied his use of sign language and his speech before making derogatory comments towards a bald man.

Police are now appealing for information and for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.

Investigating officer, PC Steve Mellor, said: "Nobody should have to tolerate victimisation because of who they are.

"I would ask the victims to come forward and speak to us.

"Tackling hate crime is one of our key priorities and all reports will be thoroughly investigated and a package of support will be put in place for victims. "

The incident happened at around 9.30am on June 15.
