Woman motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after Shropshire border crash

A woman motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital with serious leg injuries after a crash on the Shropshire border.

The woman was flown to the Royal Stoke University Hospital following the single-vehicle crash on the B5026 in Croxton, near Market Drayton.

Staffordshire Police were called to the incident at about 2.40pm and the road was closed while emergency services worked and police investigated the crash.

The woman's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The road remained closed for more than two hours while specialist officers investigated the crash and traffic built up on at the junction for Church Lane on the road between Loggerheads and Eccleshall.
