Man, 32, charged after Shrewsbury drugs raid

A man has been charged with drug-related offences after police searched a property in Shrewsbury.

West Mercia Police's safer neighbourhood team for Shrewsbury carried out a search of the address in the Springfield area of the town on Wednesday morning.

Phillip Lionel Glover, 32, of Mereside, Shrewsbury, was charged in connection with possession of a class A substance and in connection with possession of a class B substance.

He has been released on bail to appear before Telford Magistrates Court on April 11.

Police said they hoped this would send a warning to anyone involved in illegal activity or taking illegal substances and said they would act on any significant information.

Officers encouraged anyone who had information about use of illegal drugs to contact police and said calls would be treated confidentially.
