There has been plenty of opportunity to get some good weather pictures, but this one by film-maker Tom Middleton, from Onibury, near Ludlow, really captured a perfect chilly late afternoon.

Mr Middleton, who runs SMN Film with wife Michelle, has won the January Star Witness prize of £100 for this picture.

He was on a walk up a hill close to his house in the village with Michelle and seven-year-old son Finn.

"It was about 4pm and there was a really low mist in Onibury. As we walked up the hill we started to climb above the mist and saw this beautiful sunset. It was just really great timing," he said.

"It was great to be able to get this picture and, with the weather there has been, January has been great for getting pictures."

Mr Middleton's is one of scores of fantastic winter pictures that can be seen on our Star Witness online galleries.
