Extra police patrols despite Shrewsbury 'pro-rape' event cancellation

West Mercia Police will be stepping up patrols in Shrewsbury town centre tomorrow night despite there being no evidence that a group of anti-feminist men are due to meet up.

Earlier this week, self-confessed pick-up artist Daryush 'Roosh' Valizadeh, who claimed he was pro-rape, called for like-minded men to meet up around the world as part of the group called Return of the Kings.

A meeting was scheduled for Saturday night at 8pm at Frankwell car park.

But on Thursday Valizadeh cancelled all the meetings as he could not guarantee the safety of the men.
