Shropshire farmer injured by bull is airlifted to hospital

A Shropshire farmer has been airlifted to hospital after he was seriously injured by a  bull today.

Emergency services were called to a farm in the Hinstock area, between Market Drayton and Newport, at around 9am.

An ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene.

The air ambulance crew tweeted:

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "Crews arrived to find the man who had suffered suspected back and pelvic injuries. The farmer was in considerably pain after being injured by the bull.

"The man received emergency treatment at the scene by medics including pain relief.

"Following treatment the man was airlifted to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further emergency treatment."
