The Volkswagen Beetle collided in Wheat Leasowes, Horton, just before midday.

The female driver had managed to get out of the vehicle by the time emergency services arrived and was checked over at the scene by paramedics.

Fire crews from Wellington and Telford attended the scene, together with an ambulance crew and police.

Watch manager John Pritchard, from Wellington fire station, said: "It would appear the car hit a telegraph pole and rolled.

"It was on its side when we arrived.

"Fortunately nobody was trapped or seriously injured. It was an icy stretch of road."

West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman Chris Kowalik added: "A single vehicle was involved.

"We sent one ambulance crew. A woman driver was out of the car by the time we arrived.

"She had neck pain and was discharged at the scene."

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.
