Man arrested after Telford robbery terror

Two balaclava-clad men forced their way into a house and threatened the occupants with a knife during an armed robbery.

A fight broke out after the man and teenage girl inside the home refused to hand over cash to the robbers, according to police.

The raiders knocked on the door of the house in Stonedale in Sutton Hill, Telford before bursting inside. They made off with cash after the raid at about 6pm on Tuesday, but it is not known in which direction they went.

A 20-year-old man from Telford has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been bailed until January 31.

Police have appealed for information about the attack, which left the two people inside the house terrified.

The pair were both wearing dark clothing including gloves and balaclava.

One man was thought to be approximately 6ft tall and of a large build.
