Three fire crews and police are on the scene just off the A41 in Tushingham, near Whitchurch, where the tanker has overturned.

The tanker was carrying molasses, which is a treacle like substance, and the fire service say the spillage was contained, however traffic had to be diverted by police on and around the A41.

The male driver of the lorry was taken by ambulance to the Countess of Chester Hospital to be checked over but was not thought to be seriously injured.
