Cheers! Salopian Brewery celebrates CAMRA award

The boss of Salopian Brewery is celebrating after his ale Oracle was named the best brew in the Midlands.

It struck gold at to win the Bob Jones Memorial Trophy at the Campaign for Real Ale presentation in Birmingham.

It was the second year the 21-year-old brewery in Hadnall, near Shrewsbury, has won Camra's top regional ale award. In 2014 it went to its Golden Thread beer.

Managing director Wilf said: "It is pleasing to do so well again, particularly as we moved the location of our brewery in October last year.

"We have had to get to grips with new equipment but the fact we have won pretty much the same amount as we won last year is a testament to our consistency and is very pleasing to see."
