It is thought to have started by McDonalds in Chirk, near the Halton roundabout.

The fire started at about 8pm yesterday and caused heavy smoke to be blown across the A5, which was closed in both directions at 8.45pm.

The A483 between the Halton roundabout and Gledrid roundabout was also closed in both directions.

Four fire crews were sent to the scene to tackle the fire.

The road is believed to have fully re-opened about midnight.
