Cyclist punches driver in Shropshire road rage attack

A cyclist punched an elderly driver in the face in a road rage incident after being overtaken near Bridgnorth.

The driver, a man in his 60s in a Vauxhall, was stationary in Main Street, Worfield.

He had previously been driving ahead of a group of three or four cyclists.

After his vehicle stopped one of the cyclists is reported to have approached the car and spoken to the driver before punching him twice to the face, cutting his lip.

The cyclist then left in the direction of Worfield church. He is described as a white man, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, and of muscular build. He was wearing a white or grey short-sleeved top and black cycling gloves.

The attack happened between 10am and 10.10am on Tuesday. November 10.
