A 39-year-old man from Telford has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary in connection with the incident and has been bailed to return to the police station on December 18.

A police spokesman said: "The masked robbers forced entry to the home and made an untidy search of the property. The victims, a couple in their 70s, were threatened during the robbery and money was also demanded.

"The offenders took various other items of property belonging to the victims before leaving the address, heading in the direction of Greyhound Hill."

The robbers have been described as three white men, ranging in height between approximately 5ft 6ins and 6ft, of average build and wearing dark clothing.
