Man taken to hospital after falling from bedroom window in Telford

A man needed hospital treatment after falling from a bedroom window in Telford.

The drama happened on Claverley Drive, in Stirchley, at about 2pm.

An ambulance was sent to the scene before the man was taken to hospital.

Claire Brown, spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to the scene at 2pm today after receiving reports that a man had fallen from an upstairs bedroom window.

"One ambulance was sent to the scene and the man was taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for further treatment.

"It was unclear what his injuries were."

A spokeswoman from Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service, said: "We assisted the ambulance service by moving one male patient, with suspected back injuries after falling from height, to the ambulance."

The crew left the area at about 3pm.
