Crews tackle fires in Telford and Shifnal

Firefighters in Telford were called out to three fires including one which caused slight damage to a house on Saturday morning.

The first call was just before 5am and was to a rubbish fire in King Street, Dawley. The fire was in the open, but caused slight smokelogging to a nearby house. The crew from Tweedale put the fire out by 5.10am.
Three crews from Telford Central and Wellington were sent to a fire in a factory on Stafford Park 11 at 10.40am. They wore breathing apparatus to deal with the blaze, which had started in a spray booth inside the factory.

The damage was limited to the spray booth and the fire was put out in just under an hour.
At about 11.20am crews were called out again to a house fire in Greenfields Crescent, Shifnal. The fire had been started by a faulty electric shower switch and was dealt with in half an hour.
No one was injured in any of the fires.
