Two early morning crashes on Shropshire roads

There were two crashes on Shropshire roads in the early hours, with people reported trapped who were found to be free on the arrival of emergency services.

Nobody is believed to have been seriously hurt in either accident.

The first took place at about 12.15am today on Barrow Road, Much Wenlock, involving one saloon car. Firefighters from Much Wenlock, Telford and Wellington were called and made the vehicle safe.

The second happened at Tong, on the A41 near Shifnal at about 6.15am today. Fire crews from Albrighton, Telford Central and Wellington were called to the crash between a car and a small van.
