Shrewsbury man, 28, in court on child porn charges

A Shrewsbury man has appeared in court charged with making indecent images of children and possession of extreme pornographic images of animals.

Thomas Higginson is charged with 17 counts of making indecent photographs of children, and two counts of possessing extreme pornographic images of animals dated between June 10, 2013 and May 29, 2014.

Higginson, 28, of Dunwoody Court, gave no indication of plea at Shrewsbury Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Ms Louise Taylor appeared to represent Higginson.

Higginson's next court appearance will be on Monday, December 7, at Shrewsbury Crown Court.

District Judge TJ Rose placed Higginson on bail until then with the conditions including not to have any unsupervised contact with children under 16 years old and not to undertake any employment which would bring him in contact with children.
