Two robbers snatch money at Telford Town Centre shop

Two robbers burst into a shop in Telford Town Centre and confronted staff, before snatching money from the safe and running away through a fire escape.

The drama took place in New Row in the town shopping centre, between 10.30am and 11am on Monday.

Police want to speak to a white man, aged 30-35 in connection with the incident. He is around 6ft tall with dark stubble, was wearing a scarf across his face, a light grey Ralph Lauren hoodie with a zip-up front and light grey jogging bottoms.

Following the incident, a 52 year-old Telford man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary. He was bailed to return on October 12.
