The woman was travelling from St Martins, near Oswestry, towards Overton on the B5069 this morning when she clipped the grass verge.

PC Dave Wagg, from Oswestry police, said: "She was very lucky. It was a single vehicle incident in which the car clipped the verge and then rolled up the hedge, coming to rest upside down.

"The driver was checked over by paramedics but she was alright.

"It's a reminder to be careful in the weather we're having at the moment though, when one minute it's dry and the next it's almost flooded.

"That road is a 60mph limit, but in the rain you can't go that fast. Drive according to the weather conditions."

The car was removed by a recovery service.
