Walkabout employee Cyran Stewart, 20, lost his life following an accident at the bar in the city centre.

It is understood the incident happened at the Walkabout's lift area but exact details of how it happened have not been released.

Mr Stewart died at Morriston Hospital in the city on February 28 last year, four days after suffering his injuries.

An inquest into his death is yet to take place. South Wales Police launched an investigation with Swansea Council following the tragic accident.

A force spokesman said: "The police investigation into the circumstances of the death at Walkabout is continuing."

The funeral of Mr Stewart, who had three brothers, was held in Shifnal.

The family has set up a Facebook page in his memory.

On Christmas Day last year his mother, Liz Stewart, wrote: "Everyone raise a glass for my darling loved and missed son Cyran hope he's having a ball with all the angelsxxxx I miss him so much xxx." Others also took to Facebook to pay tribute.

After Mr Stewart's death, a Walkabout spokesman said everyone had been upset by the tragic accident, and that the company was working with the authorities to find out what had happened at its bar in Castle Bailey Street.

He added: "We're all extremely shocked and saddened by this tragic incident. Everyone that knew and worked with him is absolutely devastated.

"We'd like to express our sincere condolences to his family and friends and the thoughts of everyone at Walkabout are with them at this extremely difficult time. Our biggest concern is for the safety of our customers and staff. We are working to find out exactly what happened."

When contacted, the company said at the moment it preferred not to comment further while the investigation continued.
