Three before court after man seriously injured at Telford pub

Three people have appeared in court in relation to a fight in a Telford pub that left a man with serious head injuries.

John Price, 24, of Splott, Cardiff, and Andrew Price, 53, of Lodge Road Caravan Park, Donnington Wood, Telford, have been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.

Dorothy Riley, 46, of Lodge Road Caravan Park has been charged with assisting an offender.

They all appeared at Shrewsbury Magistrates Court yesterday.

The charges are in connection with a disturbance at around 7.40pm on Saturday at the Rose and Crown in Sunnyside Road, Ketley Bank.

A 48-year-old man was taken to North Staffordshire Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Police sealed off the pub for around 20 hours as forensic teams looked for clues.

Riley and Andrew Price were released on conditional bail at the hearing yesterday. John Price was remanded in to custody.

The case was adjourned to Shrewsbury Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on August 10.
