Sammy Elliot was asleep in bed when a neighbour accidentally reversed into her front porch.

At first the 24-year-old thought someone had broken into the house, but after getting her 20-month-old daughter Daisy, she discovered her front door was wide open.

"I was fast asleep," she said. "Then I was woken by a huge bang. I went downstairs and saw a car had crashed into the porch knocking over a wall.

"I thought it was break-in at first, but I wasn't expecting to find that."

The drama happened in Kesworth Drive, Priorslee, at about 9am.

No one was injured.
