Car crashes into wall in Telford

A driver escaped serious injury when a car hit a wall in Telford.

The accident happened in New Street, Dawley, at about 9pm yesterday.

Fire crews then made the area safe before leaving the scene just before 9.30pm.

Earlier, two motorcyclists were injured in a collision on the Stourbridge Road in Bridgnorth at about 11.30am. One rider suffered minor injuries and the other sustained a leg injury.

Meanwhile, a man suffered a head injury in a crash on the A488 near Shrewsbury, shortly after 2pm yesterday.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "One ambulance crew attended the scene where they took one woman for precautionary checks and a man with a minor head injury to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital."

Three fire crews from Wellington and Shrewsbury were also sent to the scene at 2.06pm and left at 2.26pm.
