Roderick "Rodders" Davies, 51, who ran the Butchers Arms in the town went missing more than 10 days ago.

Police say a body was discovered just off Broomhall Lane this morning.

Mr Davies has not yet been formally identified but police said his family had been informed and his daughter, Rebecca Davies, wrote on her Facebook page that she could not believe he had gone.

She added: "You're the best dad I could ask for I hope you're finally at rest, I love you more than you'll ever know. thanks to everyone who's asked and helped out this past week."

Mr Davies was last seen leaving the Butchers Arms in Willow Street, at about 12.20am on June 19.

He left home without his wallet, phone, medication, car keys and debit cards sparking fears for his safety and last week his daughter made an emotional plea for him to get in touch.
